Your Role
The CMM Programmer II develops, modifies, and troubleshoots CMM and gauge inspection programs for complex components. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to support inspection processes, improve product quality, and maintain best practices.
Rate Range: $40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and update CMM/gauge programs using CAD models and drawings
Validate programs (prove-outs, GR&R, correlation studies) and troubleshoot issues
Create operator prompts and reporting templates, including basic SPC analysis
Train and mentor junior programmers and support inspection activities
Collaborate with engineering on design and manufacturability improvements
Manage CMM hardware, stylus systems, and vendor support
Support fixturing design and automated inspection solutions
Maintain ISO documentation and inspection reports
Participate in continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; AS/BS in engineering field preferred
5+ years CMM programming experience (Calypso, PC-DMIS, MODUS, etc.)
6+ years mechanical inspection experience
GD&T certification (ASME Y14.5) required
Strong problem-solving, communication, and data analysis skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality tools
Additional Info
On-site role in a manufacturing environment
Overtime or shift flexibility may be required
Pay Details: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour
