Job Details

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, program, and operate CMM equipment to inspect precision machined components
  • Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements
  • Utilize precision measurement equipment including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and height gauges
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records
  • Identify nonconformances and work closely with engineering and production teams on corrective actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and quality system compliance
  • Ensure adherence to customer specifications and industry standards

Qualifications

  • Experience programming and operating CMM equipment
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading
  • Experience inspecting tight-tolerance CNC machined components
  • Proficiency with precision measuring instruments
  • Familiarity with SPC, quality documentation, and nonconformance reporting
  • CNC machining knowledge highly preferred
  • Experience with PC-DMIS, Mitutoyo, Zeiss, or similar CMM software preferred
  • ASQ or related quality certifications are a plus
