CMM and Vision Systems Inspector, Precision Fluid Control

Imagine approving a component destined for a medical instrument or an aircraft system. Your precise measurements and sound judgment ensure those products perform flawlessly in the field.

The Mission

Serve as the dimensional authority for miniature, precision fluid control components — confirming that every feature meets specification before moving forward or heading to a customer.

How You’ll Contribute

• Use micrometers, verniers, measurement gauges, and vision systems to validate tight tolerances.
• Program and operate sophisticated automated inspection equipment to run accurate, repeatable routines.
• Create and stage new fixtures and tools to optimize inspection effectiveness; maintain equipment in proper working order.
• Enter and manage all inspection results in company databases and software tools.
• Complete in-process inspections prior to subsequent operations and perform final checks to purchase order and sales order requirements before shipment.
• Partner with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering to inspect special units and verify machine/process parameters are followed correctly.
• Make pass/fail decisions in accordance with Process Specifications and the Quality Control Manual.

Your Background

• High School Diploma or GED with significant experience inspecting machined parts.
• Solid grounding in metrology, SPC, and GD&T; hands-on experience with CMM, vision systems, and automated inspection.
• Skilled at interpreting challenging drawings and specifications; able to execute oral and written instructions.
• Capable of sustained concentration with strong mental focus, finger dexterity, hand–eye coordination, and high visual acuity.

Competencies & Standards

• AS9100 environment experience.
• Quality inspection and quality control proficiency.
• Blueprint reading and precision hand metrology expertise.
