The Clubhouse Manager is expected to champion a workplace where employees feel respected, supported, challenged, and inspired to succeed. By investing in people, recognizing outstanding performance, and leading with authenticity, this individual creates an environment where exceptional hospitality becomes part of the Club's culture. The successful candidate understands that hospitality is built through presence. While the position requires thoughtful planning, financial oversight, and administrative leadership, they intentionally invest time where it matters most—building relationships with members, coaching employees, and creating an environment where both people and service thrive. This leader is approachable, humble, emotionally intelligent, and genuinely invested in the success of others. They communicate openly, embrace accountability, and recognize that great cultures are built through consistency, trust, and daily leadership. Team Leadership & Culture You will build an engaged team by recruiting talented people, developing future leaders, and creating a workplace where employees feel valued, supported, and empowered to succeed. You understand that investing in people is the most effective way to elevate the member experience and strengthen the Club's culture. Food & Beverage Leadership Working alongside the Executive Chef, you will provide leadership for all front-of-house hospitality operations, ensuring exceptional service complements exceptional cuisine. You will establish consistent service standards, mentor hospitality professionals, and continually seek opportunities to enhance the dining experience. Operational & Financial Stewardship You will lead with sound judgment, balancing operational excellence with financial responsibility. Through thoughtful planning, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail, you will ensure the Club's hospitality operations consistently perform at a high level while supporting the Club's long-term objectives. Collaboration You will serve as a collaborative member of the Club's leadership team, working closely with department heads to create a seamless experience for members. Success in this role is built upon communication, trust, and a shared commitment to excellence across every area of the Club. What Success Looks Like The successful Clubhouse Manager will quickly become a trusted leader among members, employees, and fellow department heads. During the first year, this individual will strengthen the Club's hospitality culture, improve service consistency, develop supervisors into stronger leaders, and cultivate an engaged team that takes pride in delivering exceptional experiences. Success will ultimately be measured not only through operational and financial performance, but through the strength of the relationships built, the culture created, and the confidence inspired throughout the organization. The Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate brings progressive leadership experience within a private club, luxury hospitality, resort, or upscale food and beverage environment. They possess strong business acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a genuine passion for developing people. Private club experience is strongly preferred, along with active involvement in the Club Management Association of America (CMAA). Completion of the Business Management Institute (BMI) program and a bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field are highly desirable. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who believes leadership is measured not by title, but by the positive influence they have on members, employees, and the culture they help create.
