Cloud Systems Administrator

Job Overview:

Pay Range $61.68hr - $65.68hr

Requirement/Must Have:

• Bachelor's Degree or technical institute degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of professional experience in information systems engineering or a related field is required.
• 2+ years of experience with Server 2012 R2, 2016, 2019, and 2022.
• 2+ years of IIS Administration.
• 2+ years of network communications, including TCP/IP and DNS, Samba/CIFS file sharing, and NTFS permissions.
• 2+ years of strong professional experience in AWS cloud systems is required.
• 2+ years of strong professional experience in Microsoft Azure cloud systems is highly desired.
• 2+ years of experience with other cloud providers, such as GCP, is highly desired.
• 2+ years of professional experience in the administration of Microsoft software is highly desired.
• 3+ years of IT work experience in infrastructure/network environments in systems operations, support, maintenance, and administration.
• 3+ years of professional experience supporting middleware such as API Management, IT Service Automation tools, and batch job services is highly desired.

Responsibilities:

• Support and expand infrastructure.
• Coordinate server configuration and administration with multiple parties.
• Make recommendations for future server and software upgrades.
• Monitor systems and applications to ensure security, availability, and performance.
• Establish systems by evaluating network performance issues, including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; and establishing connections and firewalls.
• Maintain network and systems performance by performing systems monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting systems and application problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Build and manage relationships in a matrixed environment.
• Find opportunities to refactor solutions to obtain better performance, cost, and efficiency.
• Create and manage Azure DevOps projects, git repositories, and pipelines.
• Oversee and configure Azure DevOps organizational settings.
• Recommend and assist with the building and hosting of complex application solutions.
• Understand, deploy, and manage AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or other cloud services.
• Support other IT staff, including developers.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Skill in researching, compiling, and analyzing data to report findings and develop improvement solutions.
• Skill in system administration and hosting across a wide range of solutions.
• Ability to research, identify, and implement innovative solutions.
