Cloud Engineer
Location: Memphis, TN OR Addison, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months
seeking for a Cloud Engineer responsible for building and deploying cloud components, creating automation processes, and supporting operational functions. The focus is on repeatable, scalable automation patterns that streamline setup activities.
- Deliver automation to improve and standardize hotel setup workflows.
- Coordinate with business and application teams on cloud patterns and build solutions using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Standardize current deployment pipeline in GitLab.
- Identify opportunities for infrastructure automation and improvements in configuration management, monitoring, and alerting.
- Support the Hybrid Cloud environment, participate in on-call rotations, and work alongside other engineering teams.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation using Atlassian suite tools and engage production ITSM processes with ServiceNow.
- Apply security policies and provide guidance on vulnerability and patch management within the cloud estate.
Must Have Skills:
- AWS proficiency with EKS, ECR, IAM/IDC.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years supporting applications in a production environment.
- 2+ years of open-source cloud provisioning tools in production cloud environments (Terraform/CFT).
- 2+ years of AWS experience with multi-account topology.
- 2+ years of industry experience with cloud monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, Datadog, Splunk).
- 2+ years of scripting experience in production environments (bash, python).
- 2+ years of industry experience with large applications deployed in public cloud.
Helpful Capabilities and Distinctions:
- Relevant public cloud certifications.
- Certifications for open-source tools or scripting languages.
