Your Opportunity

At Schwab, the Cloud Services organization within Schwab Technology Services (STS) empowers Schwab’s development teams with an easy to use, self-service catalog of operationalized, secure cloud products meeting Schwab’s regulatory requirements that exceed Client expectations.   The organization’s mission is to operationalize Schwab’s cloud capabilities to enable the scalable and secure migration of Enterprise applications to our multi-cloud infrastructure.

This Cloud Engineer will work closely with other cloud engineers, cloud security engineers, data center engineers, application developers, and internal/external customers to provide and maintain cloud solutions.  The individual must have worked in an Enterprise Environment that includes experience in large scale cloud solutions supporting virtualized workloads.  This position requires hands on experience and ability to test/validate, troubleshoot and implement cloud-based solutions.

What you have

Required Qualifications

▪ 3+ years’ experience working in Public/Private Cloud Infrastructure and/or Public/Private Cloud Application Operations (GCP, Azure, AWS)

▪ 3+ years’ experience in Infrastructure as Code - Leveraging Terraform including building/using net new modules, maintaining including identifying and resolving issues with existing modules.

▪ Delivered impactful results in previous experiences around scaling, standardizing, visualizing or observing core services

▪ Experience using DevOps Tools Suite (Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Jenkins)

▪ Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues using best practices to support live applications

▪ Experience with ITIL Operations Processes (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Request Management)

▪ Prioritizes compliance, security, and scalability of data systems

▪ Executes strategies to restore services promptly and address disruptions

▪ Designs scalable, consistent environments that reduce risk and increase reliability

▪ Optimizes planning and development through advanced tool integration

▪ Addresses QA challenges by applying best practices in testing and compliance

▪ Validates requirements and constraints to support effective development and operations

▪ Monitors and addresses security policy violations using best practices

▪ Resolves software design challenges using predictive and adaptive methods

▪ Applies best practices to build, test, and validate software components while resolving issues

▪ Consolidates software changes into secure, stable releases using best practices

▪ Ensures systems align with cloud architectures using modern design methodologies

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
