    Description

    CALIBRE Systems, inc., an employee-owned, mission focused solutions and digital transformation company is seeking a highly qualified Cloud/DevOps Engineer to provide hands-on Azure cloud engineering and DevOps support for AI-enabled applications and data products delivered within an existing governed Azure/UDAP environment. This position will be on-site, hybrid, or remote, at the discretion of the customer.

    The role will support infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, secure cloud operations, managed database and AI service integration, and hosting of open-source analytics applications such as Apache Superset, while ensuring delivered products comply with role-scoped access, audit logging, security/ATO, documentation, UAT, and transition requirements.

    The selected candidate will work closely with government staff, customer program offices, and delivery personnel to ensure delivered applications and data products meet customer specifications, acceptance criteria, role-scoped access requirements, and quality thresholds.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    ·       Support Azure cloud engineering within the existing UDAP Azure environment.

    ·       Build, deploy, monitor, and support AI-enabled applications and data products.

    ·       Support infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and monitoring practices.

    ·       Host and maintain open-source applications such as Apache Superset.

    ·       Support managed database and AI services used by the platform.

    ·       Support secure access controls, audit logging, and role-based/role-scoped access.

    ·       Support Security/ATO documentation inputs for delivered applications and products.

    ·       Provide documentation, configuration details, source code, and knowledge transfer for transition.

    ·       Experience with Docker, Kubernetes/AKS, or Azure Container Registry.

    ·       Experience with Apache Superset administration.

    ·       Experience with PostgreSQL, pgvector, dbt, Azure SQL, Event Hubs, or Python ETL.

    ·       Experience supporting Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Foundry, RAG, embeddings, vector stores, or LLM-enabled applications.

    ·       Federal ATO/RMF/NIST experience.

    ·       Relevant certifications such as:

    ·       Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert / AZ-400

    ·       Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate / AZ-104

    ·       Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Cloud Developer Associate / AI-200

    ·       Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Apps and Agents Developer Associate / AI-103

    ·       Cloud security certifications

     

    required Experience

    ·       Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    ·       5+ years of cloud engineering experience.

    ·       Hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience, preferably in Azure Government.

    ·       Experience supporting infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, monitoring, and application hosting.

    ·       Experience supporting managed database services, AI services, or data/analytics platforms.

    ·       Experience working in secure, governed, or Federal IT environments.
