Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Cloud Developer - III (Remote) to join a financial services company in San Francisco, CA. This is an 12-month contract to start with the potential for extensions. 


Pay:$92.00 - $102.00/hr; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship.


Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Developer with a strong data engineering and DevOps background to support the development, automation, and operations of cloud-based data platforms. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in AWS GovCloud environments, building and supporting data pipelines, automating processes through Python, and managing infrastructure through Terraform.
This is a cross-functional role that combines cloud development, DevOps, automation, data platform engineering, and production support responsibilities.
 
Required Skills & Experience
AWS Cloud & Data Platform Development
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud.
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based data platforms.
  • Expertise with AWS data services including:
  • Amazon S3
  • Amazon RDS
  • Amazon Aurora
  • Data Lakes / Lakehouse architectures
  • Data Warehousing solutions
  • Experience building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and pipeline code.
  • DevOps & Infrastructure Automation
  • Strong DevOps experience in a cross-functional environment.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • GitLab
  • CI/CD pipelines
  • Infrastructure automation and deployment processes.
Strong experience with Terraform (required).
  • Automation & Scripting
  • Strong proficiency in Python.
  • Experience automating operational tasks, deployments, monitoring, and support processes through scripting.
Operations & Production Support
  • Experience supporting production environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot incidents, resolve production issues, and manage support tickets.
  • Strong operational mindset with experience in monitoring and system reliability.
 
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Generative AI or AI-powered development tools.
  • Exposure to tools such as:
  • Windsurf
  • AI-assisted coding platforms
  • Other GenAI productivity tools
