Responsibilities
Install, configure, patch, and upgrade cloud database servers.
Monitor database performance and perform tuning and optimization.
Manage database backups, recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability.
Administer Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or other databases.
Troubleshoot database performance and connectivity issues.
Implement database security, encryption, access controls, and auditing.
Support cloud database services such as AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, and Cloud SQL.
Automate database deployment using Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
Support database migrations from on-premises to cloud environments.
Work closely with Cloud Engineers, DevOps, and Security teams.
Create and maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Cloud Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize cloud-based databases in secure federal environments. The ideal candidate should have experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP databases, database performance tuning, security, automation, backup/recovery, and cloud migrations.
Required Skills
5+ years of Cloud Database Administration experience.
Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or Oracle Cloud.
Strong knowledge of Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB.
Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and performance tuning.
Knowledge of scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Experience with monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK, or Grafana.
Strong understanding of database security, encryption, IAM, and compliance.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Skills
Experience with Kubernetes or containerized database services.
Experience with Azure Government or Azure Secret environments.
Knowledge of data migration tools and cloud-native architectures.
Federal government project experience.
AWS or Azure Cloud Certifications.
Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Work Authorization
Active Secret Clearance is required.
U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
