Overview Provides professional nursing care for office patients following established standards and procedures.
Qualifications Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Possess a current Alabama State Registered Nurses License. Current CPR certification. ACLS certification preferred.
Experience: Two (2) years of professional nursing in a cardiac setting.
Additional Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care. • Skill in identifying problems and recommending solutions. • Skill in writing and maintaining records and reports. • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, families, physicians, employees, and staff. • Ability to communicate clearly. • Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions in order to maintain a safe working environment. • Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. • Knowledge of the organizations policies and procedures. • Upholds effective work habits including, but not limited to, regular attendance, teamwork, initiative, dependability, and promptness. • Skill in PPM & ICD Interrogations, test and programming; knowledge of EP procedures. • Skill in decision making related to the programming of implanted devices. • Skill in teaching patients about implanted devices and EP procedures.
