The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus invites applications for a Clinician Scientist/Director of Sleep Medicine Research position at the rank of Assistant Professor to Professor. The successful candidate will be a clinician-scientist with expertise in sleep medicine research, with a strong track record of research productivity and a commitment to mentoring junior faculty members.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct sleep medicine research, including the development and implementation of clinical trials and studies • Develop and lead research projects, including the recruitment and training of research staff • Collaborate with other faculty members and researchers to advance the field of sleep medicine • Mentor junior faculty members and students in research and clinical practice • Participate in departmental and university service, including teaching, clinical practice, and committee service
Requirements:
• A doctoral degree in a relevant field (e.g., psychology, neuroscience, medicine) • A strong track record of research productivity, including publications and presentations • Clinical expertise in sleep medicine, including diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders • Experience in mentoring junior faculty members and students • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
