The Clinician works with children, youth, and families to improve mental health, build positive relationship and communication skills, deepen community connections, and provide parenting coaching, crisis stabilization, and care coordination. They may also work with BRANCH clients. BRANCH is our dual diagnosis program designed to support clients with both intellectual or developmental disabilities in addition to mental health needs.

Essential Job Functions
 
  • Provides in-home individual and family therapy to children and adolescents through our CBS and BRANCH programs
  • Meets with families at flexible times throughout the week, including evenings and one weekend day/week; Full-time schedules are Sun-Th or Tues-Sat
  • Completes documentation of individual and family sessions, case management contacts, service plans, assessments, and other required forms of paperwork within required timeframes set by Medicaid or other contracted referral sources. All service notes are completed within one day of service delivery
  • Provides crisis consultation and support to clients on caseload during regularly scheduled workdays between the hours of 8 am – 8 pm; Develops safety plan with clients and plan for crisis on non-workdays
  • Supports care coordination through referring and connecting to other supportive services as needed; Coordinates with funding sources to assure compliant treatment delivery and documentation
  • Maintains the highest standard of cultural competency in all dealings with clients and staff
  • Demonstrates knowledge and ability to implement agency policies, procedures, SPB’s, collateral policies, and COA’s guidelines
  • Participates in weekly or bi-weekly clinical individual supervision meetings, and weekly group supervision meetings
  • Maintains licensure, candidacy, or other credentialing requirements to remain eligible as a therapy provider
  • Supports and advances quality improvement efforts through adherence to Tennyson Center policies and procedures, regulator standards, and best practices

Physical Requirements
 
  • Ability to drive for periods of 30 minutes or more
  • Ability to evade or re-direct occasional aggressive behaviors from children without physical intervention (training provided)

Working Conditions
 
  • 90% of work is completed in the community, in client’s homes, and in schools
  • Mobile Office provided: car, gas card, laptop, hotspot

Minimum Qualifications
 
  • Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field required
  • Candidate for or Licensed as LCSW/LPC/LMFT
  • Must be registered and in good standing with DORA (Department of Regulatory Agencies)
  • Bilingual Spanish speaking individuals strongly encouraged to apply
  • Must have a valid Colorado driver’s license

The estimated salary range for this role is $70,000.00-$75,000.00 annually.
