About the Role Costa Mesa Children's programThe Pre-Licensed Therapist provides mental health treatment services designed to maximize client independence and family empowerment. This role delivers individual, group, and family counseling services to support clients in achieving personal, social, educational, and vocational goals. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Pre-Licensed Therapist provides culturally responsive, community-based care while supporting positive clinical outcomes and overall well-being.

ResponsibilitiesProvide individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and adultsConduct clinical assessments and therapeutic interviews to identify client needs and treatment goalsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plans and interventionsParticipate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultationsMonitor client progress and evaluate treatment effectivenessMaintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirementsParticipate in program development activities, staff meetings, and trainingsProvide referrals, resource coordination, and linkage to additional services as appropriateProvide consultation and educational presentations to community organizations, schools, hospitals, and service agencies as neededFacilitate psychoeducational groups on topics such as parenting, anger management, life skills, and wellnessMaintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundariesMeet assigned productivity expectations as established by the programProvide services in clinic, school, home, and community settings as neededTransport clients when necessary using a personal vehicleWork one to two afternoons per week with availability until 7:00 PMParticipate in assigned on-call rotation and after-hours responsibilities as required by the programPerform additional duties as assigned
Required QualificationsMaster’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institutionRegistered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC), or Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW)Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges in inpatient, outpatient, community-based, or related settingsDirect clinical and case management experienceStrong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skillsStrong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsIntermediate computer proficiency and ability to utilize electronic health record systemsValid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and active automobile insurance
Preferred Qualifications· Experience working with children, youth, and families· Bilingual skills preferred· Experience providing services in community-based, school-based, or outpatient settings· Familiarity with crisis intervention and care coordination practices· Experience facilitating groups and psychoeducational programming
