Pre-Licensed Therapist Position at Clarvida - California

The Pre-Licensed Therapist provides mental health treatment services designed to maximize client independence and family empowerment. This role delivers individual, group, and family counseling services to support clients in achieving personal, social, educational, and vocational goals. Working within a multidisciplinary team, the Pre-Licensed Therapist provides culturally responsive, community-based care while supporting positive clinical outcomes and overall well-being. Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities include providing individual, group, and family therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults; conducting clinical assessments and therapeutic interviews; developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and interventions; participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning and case consultations; monitoring client progress and evaluating treatment effectiveness; maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation; participating in program development activities, staff meetings, and trainings; providing referrals, resource coordination, and linkage to additional services; facilitating psychoeducational groups on topics such as parenting, anger management, life skills, and wellness; maintaining compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and professional boundaries; meeting assigned productivity expectations; providing services in clinic, school, home, and community settings; transporting clients when necessary using a personal vehicle; working one to two afternoons per week with availability until 7:00 PM; participating in assigned on-call rotation and after-hours responsibilities; and performing additional duties as assigned.

Required qualifications include a master's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited institution; registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences as an associate marriage and family therapist, associate professional clinical counselor, or associate clinical social worker; minimum of two years of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges in inpatient, outpatient, community-based, or related settings; direct clinical and case management experience; strong assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills; strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; intermediate computer proficiency and ability to utilize electronic health record systems; valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and active automobile insurance.

Preferred qualifications include experience working with children, youth, and families; bilingual skills; experience providing services in community-based, school-based, or outpatient settings; familiarity with crisis intervention and care coordination practices; experience facilitating groups and psychoeducational programming.

Work location is Costa Mesa, California – clinic, school, home, and community-based settings. Travel may be required as part of service delivery. Employment type is full-time. Salary is $33-$34.50 per hour.
