Clinical Technician Supervisor

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is looking to add a Clinical Technician Supervisor to our team-someone who is passionate about patient care and energized by leading and supporting a team in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on team development, workflow coordination, and maintaining a consistently high standard of patient care. You'll partner closely with hospital leadership while serving as a trusted resource and support system for the team.

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is an emergency clinic originally formed by local veterinarians in hopes of delivering prompt and conscientious emergency care for patients after hours, on weekends, and during holidays. We are fully equipped and provide state-of-the-art care. All of our doctors and technicians have training and experience in emergency care. Our hours of operation are Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-8:00am, Friday 5:30pm-Monday 8:00am (Open 24 hours on Saturday and Sunday).   

Eastern Maine Emergency Veterinary Clinic is in Brewer, Maine, a city of approximately 10,000 people, which sits just outside of the larger city of Bangor: population 150,000. Brewer is located on the tidal Penobscot River, with 10 nearby lakes and countless streams. There is plenty to do in Brewer such as hiking, kayaking, touring the local breweries, strolling on the scenic Brewer Riverwalk, and enjoying the active music/arts community. The city of Bangor and the International Airport are just minutes away. Bangor's historic downtown is full of new shops, boutiques, and award-winning restaurants. The Bangor Waterfront is now a major regional event center with premier concerts and events. WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and support a team of veterinary technicians, assistants, and clinical support staff in a collaborative, accountable environment
• Oversee daily workflow, coordinating patient care, treatments, and team responsibilities
• Provide hands-on clinical support including medical, surgical, and anesthetic procedures
• Support consistent, high-quality patient care across all cases
• Train, mentor, and onboard clinical staff
• Partner with leadership on staffing, scheduling, and performance management
• Maintain accurate, compliant medical records
• Support a positive client experience through clear communication and efficient patient flow
• Assist in resolving client concerns with professionalism and empathy
• Monitor inventory, equipment, and treatment areas to ensure operational readiness
• Identify opportunities to improve workflow, efficiency, and team operations

REQUIREMENTS

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or equivalent) preferred
• 3+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital setting, with advanced clinical and technical skills
• Previous leadership, training, or supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead, coach, and support a diverse team
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Comfortable handling client communication, including discussing treatment plans and addressing concerns
• Proficiency with practice management systems and general computer skills
• A team-first mindset with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
