Job Summary
The University of Portland located in Portland, Oregon, USA invites applications for a faculty position as a Clinical Teaching Associate (CTA) in the Center for Clinical Excellence and Simulated Health Center of the School of Nursing & Health Innovations. Forward-thinking, creative faculty with expertise in clinical teaching, psychomotor skills, nursing education, simulation, informatics and/or clinical technology are encouraged to apply.

This CTA position supports the work of the Center for Clinical Excellence, engaging stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate strategies to improve clinical education quality and satisfaction, including periodic in-person visits to the clinical sites. The position bears responsibility for interfacing with clinical partners to identify suitable sites and preceptors for clinical nursing courses. Duties also include teaching clinical courses, recruiting, hiring, and orienting new clinical adjunct faculty.
Core Duties
University of Portland faculty teach, advise, conduct research, and serve the School and the University.
All SONHI faculty teach across programs, as well as assist students in achievement of course objectives, guide student interaction in course-related work groups, grade coursework and provide feedback.
