Responsibilities

This role is specialised within the Ambulatory and Oncology space.  This is the third of a four level job series within the CMC Corporate Information Systems, Clinical Systems Group. The Clinical Systems Analyst 3 provides support for clinical systems, including: analyzing and documenting clinical processes, developing and documenting technical processes, translating user requirements for development teams, participating in system planning, and in vendor product identification/due diligence/selection.Coordinates assigned tasks and projects related to clinical systems. Demonstrates significant understanding of clinical and application knowledge consistent with business needs. Demonstrates the ability to manage complex projects and lead stakeholders with system enhancement opportunities. Incumbent's work effort requires minimal quality control and produces a significant level of work product. May act as a SME or Module Lead. This person would be supporting Beacon Oncology and Research modules, helping maintain CCI/Oncology workflows, and collaborating with research leadership. Your primary responsibly is for the build, maintenance, and coding of the EHR (Epic). You would be the technical architects of the system. Additional objective for this individual is to obtain Epic Build Certification as necessary to assist and support the ongoing implementation and maintenance of the EHR.  

Onsite Requirement: While primarily remote, occasional onsite presence will be required for team meetings or smaller group discussions (e.g., every other week for a couple of hours). Therefore, local candidates (Central Valley/outliers like Madera, Visalia) are highly preferred.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Technology or Clinical related field required

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE), or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate and 4 years related experience may be substituted for Bachelor’s degree

 

Experience:

  • 4 years experience implementing and supporting clinical systems required

  • 5 years experience implementing and supporting clinical systems preferred

  • Epic, Cerner, and/or Meditech experience preferred

  • Specialized experience such as Ambulatory, Beacon module and Research preferred

Certifications preferred: 

  • Epic Build Certification
  • Build certification from other EHR’s outside of Epic and/or experience with implementing and maintaining EHR at other organizations or internally.
