Description:
The Fresno County Department of Behavioral Health invites applications for the position of Clinical Supervisor. Incumbents have administrative and clinical supervisory responsibilities over clinical and support staff, including interviewing, selecting, training, assigning, directing, monitoring, and evaluating staff. In addition, incumbents may provide clinical direction and supervision to subordinate staff, which may include unlicensed clinicians, and/or student interns. The Clinical Supervisor also provides professional behavioral health services in accordance with State of California laws and regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in biology, psychology, nursing, public health, social work, or a closely related field that is acceptable within the United States' accredited college or university system.
- Experience: Three (3) years of full-time, paid post-licensure work experience providing direct behavioral health care services as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Clinical Psychologist or Registered Nurse.
- License: Valid State of California license as a Clinical Psychologist, Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Clinical Counselor, or Registered Nurse.
- Possession of a valid Class "C" drivers license, or equivalent.

Incumbent Requirements:
- Incumbents must provide evidence of completing continuing education units required by the Board of Behavioral Sciences to provide clinical supervision to unlicensed registered Associates.
- Incumbents must pass initial credentialing and re-credentialing requirements and maintain compliance at all times with state licensing credentialing requirements while occupying this classification.
- All providers in this classification are required to have a valid National Provider Identifier (NPI) number prior to their first day of employment and maintain a valid NPI throughout the duration of their tenure in this classification. In addition, all providers in this classification must be registered with the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES) under the correct taxonomy.

Selection Process:
- Pursuant to Fresno County Personnel Rule 4 - Selection Process, applicants may be required to complete an examination process and successful candidates will be placed on an employment list effective for a minimum of 3 months and certified in final rank order as vacancies occur.
- Should a recruitment be open on a continuous basis, eligibles shall be certified in the order they are received not to exceed the maximum certification the department is entitled to.
