Job Description Summary
The Part-time Clinical Site Rounder, Nursing will be responsible for clinical site rounding and evaluation of instructor/preceptor teaching assignments in the clinical setting.
The hours and shifts for this position are flexible and can vary.
Minimum Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or currently enrolled in a master's program with completion of the degree within two years of hire Note: degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a US Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Must hold a current, unrestricted North Carolina license to practice as a registered nurse.
- Two calendar years or the equivalent of full-time clinical experience as a registered nurse.
- Complete training in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation, either prior to or withing the first three years of employment, in accordance with assignment requirements. (Documentation standards are set by the North Carolina Board of Nursing).
- Must maintain competence in the areas of assigned responsibility.
- Have current knowledge of nursing practice for the registered nurse (and the licensed practical nurse).
- Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the college.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred:
- Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in nursing education.
- Teaching experience.
- Certification as Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) encouraged.
