The Clinical Research Financial Analyst is responsible for managing the financial lifecycle of clinical trials and clinical research studies. This role ensures accurate budgeting, billing, compliance, and financial reporting aligned with institutional policies, sponsor agreements, and regulatory requirements. This position partners closely with central and divisional research administrators, and sponsors to ensure financial integrity and operational efficiency across all research activities.
Billing & Revenue Cycle Oversight
Ensure proper billing compliance (avoid double billing and billing errors)
Generate invoices to sponsors based on contract terms and milestones
Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments
Accounting & Financial Reporting
Prepare monthly financial reports for research portfolios as needed
Support accruals, journal entries, and financial close processes
Maintain audit-ready documentation for all financial activities
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with CT study teams on financial planning
Provide guidance on allowable costs and financial best practices
Support contract negotiations from a financial perspective
