About the Role

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support human performance studies at a leading sports science and nutrition research facility in Valhalla, NY. This role involves coordinating research activities, working closely with participants, and ensuring studies are conducted according to ethical and regulatory standards.

The position combines patient-facing responsibilities, laboratory tasks, and administrative support, making it ideal for candidates with both clinical and research experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the execution of human research studies, including participant scheduling, enrollment, and study documentation.

  • Support sample preparation, data collection, and accurate research record-keeping.

  • Serve as lead phlebotomist, performing blood draws, venous catheterization, and specimen processing as needed.

  • Ensure compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP), HIPAA, and institutional research policies.

  • Provide clear communication to participants, helping them understand study protocols, procedures, and expectations.

  • Oversee study logistics including supplies, lab readiness, and protocol adherence.

  • Collaborate with scientists and research staff to ensure smooth daily operations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, life sciences, or related field; advanced degree a plus.

  • Clinical or laboratory background with phlebotomy skills (including venous catheterization).

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in clinical research, laboratory support, or clinical administration.

  • Familiarity with GCP guidelines and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).

  • Strong interpersonal and patient communication skills.

  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced research environment.

  • Willingness to work flexible/non-traditional hours depending on study schedules.
