Overview

We are seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator to support a clinical study within an electrophysiology (EP) lab setting. This role focuses on patient-facing coordination, including consenting, real-time study support during procedures, and accurate data capture for sponsor systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the informed consent process for eligible patients in the pre operative setting
  • Coordinate study activities for patients undergoing standard of care electrophysiology procedures
  • Educate participants on study requirements, including wearable device use during procedures
  • Observe procedures and document relevant study data in real time
  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into sponsor systems and REDCap databases
  • Maintain detailed source documentation and ensure protocol compliance
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and clinical staff in the EP lab
  • Ensure all study activities align with regulatory and institutional guidelines

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator or in a similar research role
  • Hands-on experience with patient consenting in a clinical or hospital setting
  • Familiarity with electrophysiology, cardiology, or procedural environments preferred
  • Experience using REDCap for data management
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage documentation in real time
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment

Work Environment

  • Early morning start times aligned with procedure schedules
  • Typical shift begins between 5:30 AM and 6:00 AM, with procedures starting at 7:30 AM
  • Standard shift duration is approximately 8 hours, ending around 3:00 PM
  • Procedures may last between 2 to 6 hours, requiring extended time in the electrophysiology lab or operating room environment
  • Role requires consistent on-site presence within a hospital setting
  • Occasional remote work may be possible for scheduled patient consenting calls conducted via Zoom, though this will vary case by case
  • Candidates should expect to primarily work on site

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Palo Alto, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
