Position Summary
Clinical Res Coordinator II-RN is responsible for supporting clinical research activities within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit through patient care, study coordination, data management, and regulatory compliance. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality, patient-centered research in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities
- Recruit, screen, and follow participants enrolled in clinical research studies.
- Educate and train nursing staff on study protocols, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Collect and assist with processing biological specimens, including blood, urine, and stool samples.
- Administer and support study-related treatments and interventions in accordance with protocol guidelines.
- Monitor pharmaceutical and medical device research studies to ensure protocol adherence and participant safety.
- Accurately collect, maintain, and enter research data into study databases and electronic systems
- Coordinate Institutional Review Board (IRB) submissions, renewals, amendments, and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Serve as a liaison among physicians, nursing staff, research teams, and other departments involved in clinical studies.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with off-site research coordinators and study sponsors.
- Meet monthly with the Division Administrator and Section Chief to get updates on research studies and operational progress.
- Ensure adherence to federal, institutional, and regulatory requirements governing clinical research activities.
- Performs related duties & responsibilities as assigned/requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience required; plus four years of related experience.

Must successfully complete applicable compliance and systems training requirements.
HIPAA Privacy and Security Essentials Training
Current NYS RN License as a registered professional Nurse (RN's are required to have a NYS License to qualify for the position).
Bachelor's degree in nursing.
