Location: Zephyhills, FL Position Summary: The Clinical Practice Supervisor has operational and clinical supervisory responsibility and is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the clinical staff within the department. This includes the evaluation of training, implementation, orientation, and participation of education programs. • Develops, implements, monitors, and evaluates quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with standards, laws, regulations, and procedures. Recommends new and/or revised policies and procedures to the department. • Able to analyze medical records and documentation and identify problem areas. • Able to collaborate effectively with physicians and administrative staff. • Assist physician(s) with creation of strategies for efficiency and growth of the practice. • Provides management reports to physicians and administration for review, practice planning, practice marketing, and completes practice development. • Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet development, and presentation skills required. • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and supervisory skills required. • Provides department level orientation to new team members to include system software, telephone processes and protocols, office equipment usage, departmental policies and procedures, customer service expectations, job competencies, and coaching plans. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Other Related Functions • Educates and supervises clinical and non-clinical staff. • Provides necessary documentation relating to policies and procedures. • Maintains confidentiality of data and information. • Functions as a member of the medial office management team. • Knowledge of medical practice protocols and standards. • Skilled in documentation of patient care including reviewing for accuracy and completeness. • Other clinical tasks/duties as needed Qualifications Education/Training High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of Medical Assistant training from an approved technical school required or above. Licensure/Certification Maintains current BLS Healthcare Provider Certification - and maintains current certification by one of the following agencies: • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) (www.aama-ntl.org) • Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) by American Medical Technologists (AMT) (www.amt1.com) • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) by National Health Career Association (NHA) (www.nhanow.com) • National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) by National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) (www.ncctinc.com) Experience Two (2) years of related experience required.
