Position Summary
The Clinical Pharmacist for Travel Health Services is responsible for the development, management, and delivery of comprehensive travel medicine services for UNC Campus Care at Carolina. The pharmacist provides evidence-based pre-travel consultations, prescribes and manages travel medications under approved protocols, delivers patient education, and ensures compliance with CDC, ACIP, State of North Carolina, and organizational guidelines. The role collaborates closely with primary care providers, nursing staff, and administrative leadership to support the health and safety of faculty, staff, students, and eligible dependents traveling internationally.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy.
Active pharmacist license in good standing in the State of North Carolina, or eligibility for licensure.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in ambulatory care, primary care, infectious diseases, employee health, or travel medicine.
Demonstrated knowledge of immunization practices and travel health guidelines.
