Get to Know Your Team:
- Lovelace Westside Hospital provides care to Albuquerque’s Westside and Rio Rancho. It is home to a 24-hour emergency department, where patients can see a provider in about 30 minutes or less. It offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient surgical capabilities, such as ENT, bariatric, and orthopedic service lines.
Responsibilities:
- The operations specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of operational specialty practice areas (IV room, diversion/narcotics management, informatics, residency program director/coordinator, and others) within the pharmacy department and providing pharmaceutical care to patients as a staff pharmacist as needed.
- They will provide user support, perform maintenance activities and troubleshooting, monitor proper functionality, and ensure policies and procedures are developed, implemented, documented, and followed.
- The operations specialist coordinates upgrade testing activities, education, and serves as the subject matter expert for the operational specialty practice area.
