Responsible for Value Based Purchasing data and coordination. Coordinates National Patient Safety Goals, readmission work, Patient Safety Indicator work, and mortality team. Works with all levels of leadership and staff and collaborates with Risk Management, Accreditation, and Performance Improvement teams for Mission Health System.
Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or other related fields.
Preferred Education: Master’s Degree in a related field.
Required License: RN
Required Experience: Four or more years of relevant clinical experience. Ability to extract data and information from medical record and use critical thinking to establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Knowledge of patient safety principles, national/local patient safety and accreditation standards and clinical best practices. Basic knowledge of human factors theory, systems improvement techniques and Performance Improvement methodologies. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of tools (to include Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and basic skills in reviewing, manipulating and analyzing data. Organizational skills, including ability to multitask and manage multiple projects with attention to detail. Excellent written, oral, and intrapersonal skills; ability to work effectively independently and in teams; ability to serve as change agent Preferred Experience: In-depth understanding of human relations, group dynamics, change theory, and improvement methodologies.
