Job Summary:

The Clinical Operations Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of clinical operations, providing leadership and support to our healthcare team. The Clinical Operations Manager will blend clinical expertise, operational acumen, and strong interpersonal skills to maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Operations Oversight:
    • Manage and optimize daily clinical operations, ensuring seamless patient care delivery.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and other healthcare professionals to streamline workflows and enhance patient outcomes.
    • Implement and maintain protocols for patient scheduling, triage, and follow-up to optimize resource utilization.
  • Staff Leadership and Development:
    • Provide leadership and direction to clinical staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations.
    • Support professional development and training initiatives for clinical personnel.
    • Responsible for all aspects of clinical personnel management including but not limited to recruiting, hiring, performance management, and daily schedule.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Utilize data analytics to evaluate clinical performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
    • Utilize data analytics to ensure compliance with annual QI measures provided by the Kansas Medicaid MCO’s.
    • Generate regular reports on key performance indicators to support decision-making.
    • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to implement data-driven improvements.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Monitor and enforce compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies.
    • Implement quality assurance measures to uphold the highest standards of patient safety and satisfaction.
    • Conduct regular audit and assessments of clinical processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Resource Management
    • Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels for clinical operations
    • Coordinate medical equipment maintenance and repairs as needed
    • Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Patient Experience Enhancement
    • Collaborate with front office and administrative teams to enhance the overall patient experience.
    • Foster a patient-centric approach within the clinical team.

 Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Three to five years of clinical experience, preferably in pediatrics.
  • Proficient in various Microsoft programs
  • Proven experience in clinical operations management, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in utilizing healthcare information systems and technology.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience:

Registered Nurse (RN) - Graduation from an accredited nursing school

Kansas RN license in good standing

BLS/CPR certified

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform moderate physical activity.   Occasionally requires reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and handling/lifting of children/objects (up to 50 pounds).   May require standing/sitting/walking for more than four (4) hours per day.   Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
