Indiana University Health is seeking individuals who embody these values to join our Perioperative leadership team in the role of Clinical Operations Manager.
IU Health is deepening its commitment to northeast Indiana through the construction of a new full-service hospital in Fort Wayne.
Designed to expand access to high-quality patient-centered care, the hospital will bring a broad range of services, including emergency surgical and specialty care, closer to home for individuals and families in the region. By investing in Fort Waynes future, we are building more than a hospital - we are creating space for healing, innovation, and connection.
Through trusted partnerships, integrated care, and a growing team of skilled providers, IU Health Fort Wayne will advance our mission of making Indiana a healthier state for all. This new 140-bed hospital will employ 600 team members and 60 providers, delivering exceptional patient care across specialties. The facility will boast 10 PACU beds, 4 endoscopy, 26 prerecovery, and 6 cath lab prep with 6 operating rooms.
The Clinical Manager of Operations
The clinical manager of operations combines clinical experience and contemporary leadership practices with the IU Health Way to achieve excellent outcomes. Accountable for translating and achieving our strategic priorities and outcomes, quality and safety improvements, care affordability, great patient experiences, and great team member experiences.
Accountable for providing strategic vision and operational planning for assigned unit. Incumbents will lead an interprofessional team to create an environment where the team is empowered to achieve excellence in patient and organizational outcomes. This role is accountable for advancing nursing practice by advocating and consistently embedding evidenced-based practices and professional nursing standards.
Responsibilities
Provides oversight of unit that is operational and staffed 24 x 7, weekends, and holidays. This is a fully onsite role, Monday-Friday, 8AM-5PM, with availability to round on evenings and weekends and on call one week out of four.
Ideal Candidates
Ideal candidates will have previous OR experience and SOP writing.
