POSITION SUMMARY:
To be fully engaged in providing Quality/No Harm, Customer Experience, and Stewardship bybeing a member of the Nursing Management Staff, the Oncology manager is delegated the authority and autonomy for assessing all planning and directing of functions to include evaluating patient care in both the outpatient Oncology practices and the infusion centers. Additional functions include participation in the development of policies and procedures for the Department, implementation of Health First policies and objectives, interview and selection of personnel, budget preparation, and cost effective operations, scheduling and assignment of personnel, complete employee performance appraisals, quality improvement activities, counseling and disciplinary actions as needed, at all times serving as clinical and professional role model to staff and contributing to their professional growth and development.
