Responsibilities:
Increase our ability to evaluate general pediatric neurological problems: the demand of the the service has been steadily and sharply increasing.
Perform out-patient pediatric neurology evaluations and which has a strong and growing demand.
Knowledgeable about neurology medications
Evaluate new general neurology patients
See follow up patients from hospital in the clinic setting
Take patients calls and discuss results with parents
Completes all mandatory department, educational and hospital requirements
Adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards
Regular and prompt attendance
Ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required
Related duties as assigned
Additional Information:
Employees must be in a regular position, working 20 hours or more per week (.50 FTE or greater) to qualify for benefits.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in nursing from an accredited institution as approved and accepted by the University of South Alabama Required
Completion of an approved nurse practitioner training program Required
NPC - Certified Nurse Practitioner Certification as a nurse practitioner Required and
Licensed Nurse Practitioner Licensure with the state of Alabama as a nurse practitioner Required and
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Licensure with the state of Alabama as a registered nurse Required
Comparable combination of education and experience may substitute for the above requirements.
