POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager ensures expert nursing care delivery, providing staff education, consultation, evidence-based clinical practice, and leadership. The Clinical Manager supervises staff in their daily activities to ensure the delivery of care according to established departmental policies and procedures. This position assists the Clinical Director with resolving staff issues, participating in performance reviews, monitoring budgetary practices, preparing staff schedules, developing and implementing performance improvement activities, and orienting new employees to the unit.
The Clinical Manager serves as a key communicator for organizational updates, policy changes, and education needs. This position establishes and maintains communication with physicians and other professionals to promote mutual understanding of problems and plans of care. The Clinical Manager supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required. Bachelors in nursing or Allied Health required. Masters degree preferred.
License: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey. BLS required. National Certification in specialty preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Meets qualifications as outlined for specialty. 3 years clinical experience required within specialty. Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as leadership skills required. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire. Incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to blood-borne pathogens along with infectious diseases. Physical demands include but are not limited to consideration stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing heavy equipment, and excessive standing and walking. Lifting approximately 25-50 lbs. frequently lifting 50-10 lbs. with assistance occasionally. Some departments require the ability to distinguish colors.

Bariatric Morbid obese adult with all comorbid illnesses, including but not limited to cardiovascular, cardiac, cardiovascular, metabolic, renal, pulmonary, etc.
Cath Lab Cardiovascular conditions and diseases, including but not limited to CAD, carotid stenosis, renal stenosis, PVD, etc.
Critical Care Acute medical-surgical care of skeletal, muscular, renal, ortho conditions and diseases, including but not limited to AMI, CAD, PVD, CVATIA, COPD, CHF, shock, renal failure, metabolic disorders, etc.
Behavioral Health Behavioral health illnesses, including but not limited to bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, psychosis, etc.
Dialysis Patients with acute or chronic renal failure or chronic renal disease.
Endoscopy Chronic pain management, endoscopic procedures of cardiovascular, GI, pulmonary conditions and disease, etc.
Emergency Department Triage, assess, and treat patients of all ages presenting for emergency care for all body systems, conditions, and diseases, including but not limited to coronary, pulmonary, neuro, skeletal, muscular, GI, metabolic, GU, renal, GYN, integumentary, etc.
Intermediate Care Monitored post-surgical care, including but not limited to neuro, GI, GUGYN, peripheral vascular interventions, orthopedic procedures, etc. Medical diagnoses, including but not limited to cardiac, pulmonary, neuro, GI, VCATIA, and renal conditions, etc.
Medical Surgical Medical-surgical diagnoses, including but not limited to orthopedic, neuro, GI, GUGYN, renal, metabolic, pulmonary systems, and those requiring isolation precautions.
Telemetry Medical-surgical, cardiovascular, cardiac, neuro, GI conditions and diseases, including but not limited to CAD, PVD, COPD, CHF, metabolic disorders, etc.
Wound Care GI, GYNGU, integumentary conditions and diseases, including but not limited to all ostomy diversion surgeries, wound care, pressure sore, ulcer, etc.
CLINICAL MANAGER IN RADIOLOGY
Radiology Skeletal and all body systems, including but not limited to pulmonary, cardiovascular, GI, GUGYN, oncology, etc. during radiology exams.
CT Imaging With and without contrast of cardio-pulmonary, vascular, neuron, GI, GU, GYN, skeletal, muscular conditions and diseases, including but not limited to PVD, CVATIA, COPD, CHF, HNP, oncology, etc.
Mammography Mammary disease and disorders.
MRI Cardiovascular, mammary, GI, endocrine, renal, skeletal conditions and disease, including but not limited to CAD, PVD, CVATIA, COPD, CHF, oncology, etc.
Nuclear Medicine Cardiovascular, renal, skeletal, pulmonary conditions and diseases, including but not limited to CAD, PE, cholecystitis, oncology, etc.
Special Procedures Stents, de-clotting, vascular rental conditions and diseases, including but not limited to PVD, renal, oncology, etc.
Ultrasound Cholecystitis, BPH, oncology, uterine fibroids, fetal ultrasound, etc.

This position reports to department leadership and supervises incumbents as assigned.
