Clinical Nurse II - Outpatient - Chronic Complex Clinic

Summary

The Clinical Nurse delivers high-quality patient care to an assigned group of patients by applying the nursing process, clinical standards, and evidence-based practices. This role is accountable for professional practice, ongoing development, and the delegation of appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team in support of clinical excellence.

The Clinical Nurse will work in the outpatient Chronic Complex Clinic providing enhanced primary care services to adult patients with complex medical needs. Adult primary care or acute care experience is preferred. This position collaborates closely with pediatric clinic nursing staff, however pediatric experience is not required. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is helpful.

Minimum Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience in any setting.
• Licensed RN and completion of all Clinical Nurse requirements.

Education

• Essential: Associates Degree in Nursing
• Nonessential: Bachelors Degree in Nursing with an education specialization in Nursing
• Required: Nursing degree (Associates or Bachelors)

Credentials

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• RN (Registered Nurse)
• ACLS (Cardiovascular) - If required by department
• PALS (Pediatric) - If required by the department
