As a Clinical Nurse, you’ll assist in facilitating the flow of the office by acting as a liaison between the physicians and patients by working directly with the providers to provide high quality customer service and clinical care.

  • This is a full-time role involving weekday shifts and no weekends!
  • The position primarily works with all providers, so we are looking for an adaptable team player who is willing to contribute wherever needed.

Selected Responsibilities:

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information per HIPAA laws
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices and treatment rooms
  • Triage patients as necessary
  • Record patient data prior to each physician’s visit, including but not limited to, vital signs, (temperature, pulse, blood pressure, respiration), height, weight, head circumference, allergies, and medication changes
  • Obtain necessary patient records as required by physician and verify consent prior to treatment or procedures
  • Assist physicians with exams and a wide variety of procedures, including but not limited to injections, dermatologic procedures, pelvic exams, EKG’s, eye exams, managing dressings, POC lab tests, and performing x-rays (training provided)
  • Administers medications orally, vaginally, and rectally, subcutaneously, intramuscularly, and intradermally. Administering prescribed drops to the nose, eye, and ear, applying antibiotic ointments to the inside of the lower eyelid
  • Prepare and stock exam/treatment rooms and order supplies as needed
  • Maintain proper disinfection protocols
  • Schedule patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments
  • Handle all prior authorizations for medications, diagnostic imaging, etc.
  • Complete all forms used by the provider, including but not limited to, growth charts, MPE, pap forms, cytology-pathology forms, etc.
  • Phone in prescriptions and distribute proper medications as ordered by the provider
  • Administer vaccines and injections
  • Conduct clinical tasks such as ECGs, peak flow, spirometry, POCT (strep, COVID, flu, RSV, and HCG).
  • Additional duties as assigned 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED, required
  • Graduate of accredited nursing LPN, or ADN program, required
  • Current LPN, or RN licensure in good standing, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, preferred 
  • Internal medicine, or acute care setting, highly preferred 
  • EPIC software experience, highly preferred  
  • Bilingual candidate, highly considered
