Clinical - Medical Assistant

Position: Medical Assistant

Job Description:

Schedule, confirm patient appointments, check-ups, and physician referrals

Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff

Greet visitors, assess purpose of visit, and direct them to appropriate staff

Compile record medical charts, reports, and correspondence.

Some experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems preferred

Check patients in and out

Collect co-pays

A problem-solving mentality for prioritizing tasks and addressing patient issues that may arise

Excellent customer service skills (receptionist experience highly preferred)

Requirements

Must have at least 6 months of recent Medical Assistant experience; Front/Back office experience

Medical Assistant Diploma/Certificate only required if State required

Active BLS/CPR Card

Strong phlebotomy skills

Must be ok working in a smoke-free/tobacco-free environment
