JOB SUMMARY
Provides leadership and oversight for daily department operations as designated by the Department Director for two or more locations and/ or more than three (3.0 FTE) providers.
Ensures quality of delivered patient care by collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration and others. Participates in patient care activities both directly and indirectly as a resource to staff members.
Delivers direct/indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process or designated scope of practice through data collection and assessment; identification and prioritization of patient's problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care (RN).
Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality age specific care.
Delegates effectively to appropriate team members.
Documents accurately and in a timely manner.
Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/ accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.
Requirements Include
Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
Current licensure to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio.
Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
Previous charge/supervisory or management experience preferred
Specialty is preferred; in Medical Clinic area and Joint Commission knowledge
