JOB SUMMARY

• Provides leadership and oversight for daily department operations as designated by the Department Director for two or more locations and/ or more than three (3.0 FTE) providers.
• Ensures quality of delivered patient care by collaborating intra/interdepartmentally with staff, directors, physicians, administration and others. Participates in patient care activities both directly and indirectly as a resource to staff members.
• Delivers direct/indirect patient care utilizing the nursing process or designated scope of practice through data collection and assessment; identification and prioritization of patient's problems and needs; and development/implementation/evaluation of a nursing plan of care (RN).
• Demonstrates critical thinking to assure the delivery of safe, quality age specific care.
• Delegates effectively to appropriate team members.
• Documents accurately and in a timely manner.
• Communicates and collaborates with other healthcare team members.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; regulatory/ accrediting body requirements; and professional practice standards.

Requirements Include

• Graduate of an accredited program for nursing education, BSN preferred.
• Current licensure to practice professional Nursing in the State of Ohio.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR (BLS) certification required.
• Previous charge/supervisory or management experience preferred
• Specialty is preferred; in Medical Clinic area and Joint Commission knowledge
