Position Overview

As a Clinical Learning Lab Tech at Galen College of Nursing you will support and enhance clinical learning lab experiences for all learners in collaboration with program faculty to ensure quality and continuity in the achievement of course student learning outcomes (CSLOs) for all programs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Prepare the clinical learning laboratory equipment in preparation for classes and open labs.
  2. Ensure that equipment is properly stored, cleaned and in good working order. Notify the Clinical Learning Laboratory Coordinator if equipment needs to be repaired or replaced.
  3. Inventory laboratory supplies, stock supplies and ensure supplies are available to students as needed.
  4. General copying and material distribution as required (case studies, forms, etc.).
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma required.
  • Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Special Qualifications:
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people.
  • Attention to detail and follow through.

Physical/Mental Demands & Work Environment

Position requires critical thinking, reading, planning, preparing, evaluating and decision making. Physical demands in classroom and office are minimal and considered sedentary work with occasional lifting and/or carrying such articles as supplies, files and books (50 pounds minimum).

  • Degree of Supervision: Moderate.
