Job Details:The Medical Technologist performs a variety of routine and special clinical laboratory examinations and procedures in the specialties or subspecialties for which they are qualified, which may include, but is not limited to, the Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis and Phlebotomy departments. The Medical Technologist exercises independent judgment and responsibility to provide data for the diagnosis, prevention or the treatment of disease or assessment of a medical condition. The Medical Technologist must possess competency in one or two of the major sections of the laboratory (Blood Bank, Hematology, and Chemistry).
