We are seeking Clinical Laboratory Scientist to join IQVIA Laboratories at Valencia, CA.

Job Summary:

Provide professional and technical laboratory expertise to perform accurate and timely routine and specialized testing in support of clinical trial and diagnostic laboratory operations. This is an office-based role working Wednesday to Sunday, 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM, within the scope of a valid California clinical laboratory license.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Perform and report automated and manual clinical laboratory test results with minimal supervision
  • Maintain laboratory supplies and prepare reagents required for daily testing operations
  • Verify quality control, release laboratory results for reporting, and notify supervisors of factors that may influence test results
  • Support assay improvements, new assay configurations, and validation activities
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, safety, quality, and company procedures
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete required training and continuing education
  • Support audits, inspections, special projects, and training activities for laboratory personnel as assigned

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 0-5 years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Good Clinical Laboratory Practices (GCLP), CLIA requirements, and clinical laboratory quality control procedures
  • Proficiency with general laboratory techniques and complex testing procedures in areas such as Hematology, Molecular, Microbiology, Auto Chemistry, Special Chemistry, Immunology, or Flow Cytometry
  • Other Equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Needed for This Role:

  • Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment, resolve process issues, and perform complex laboratory calculations including averages, means, standard deviations, and quality control metrics
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • High attention to detail and accuracy with the ability to build effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, close eye work requirement (computer, typing, reading small prints). Physical demands vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. Occasional exposure to cold temperatures.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $46,200.00 - $96,200.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
