Clinical Laboratory, Disease Prevention and Control, Laboratory Testing, Medical Assistance, Testing
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) License.
- Previous Generalist laboratory experience required.
- Blood Bank/Transfusion Services experience is required.
- Current TB clearance completed within the past 12 months.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, quality assurance, and regulatory standards.
- Perform complex laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology, urinalysis, and blood bank.
- Conduct blood typing, crossmatching, antibody screening, and other transfusion-related testing.
- Analyze, verify, and report laboratory results accurately and promptly.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Perform quality control and quality assurance procedures to ensure testing accuracy.
- Review abnormal or critical test results and communicate findings to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate patient records and laboratory documentation in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follow infection control, laboratory safety, and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
- Assist with specimen collection, processing, and proper handling when required.
- Collaborate with pathologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
