Clinical Laboratory Manager

Lighthouse Lab Services is recruiting for a Lab Manager opportunity with a growing laboratory in Las Vegas, NV. This position is ideal for a hands-on laboratory leader with strong operational and personnel management experience, along with a current General Supervisor license.

The laboratory performs primarily urine drug testing and currently supports chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and toxicology testing, including both screening and confirmatory testing. The ideal candidate will bring strong LCMS experience, preferably with Agilent instrumentation, and will be comfortable leading from the bench while overseeing day-to-day laboratory operations.

This is a highly hands-on role with approximately 70% bench work and 30% administrative/management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations in a high-volume clinical toxicology laboratory
• Lead, mentor, and manage laboratory personnel
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, COLA, and applicable regulatory requirements
• Maintain and oversee quality assurance and quality control programs
• Support workflow optimization, staffing, scheduling, and operational efficiency
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and technical workflow issues
• Collaborate with leadership on laboratory growth and operational initiatives
• Perform bench testing and assist with technical laboratory operations as needed
• Support toxicology testing workflows including screening and confirmation testing

Qualifications

• Current General Supervisor license required (must already be in hand)
• Strong laboratory leadership and management experience
• Extensive LCMS experience required
• Experience in toxicology and urine drug testing preferred
• Strong knowledge of chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and confirmatory toxicology workflows
• Familiarity with CLIA and laboratory regulatory compliance
• Strong organizational, communication, and team leadership skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, production-focused environment

Preferred Instrumentation Experience

Experience with clinical laboratory instrumentation and analyzers commonly used in chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, molecular testing, extraction systems, and LCMS platforms is highly preferred.
