Responsibilities

Demonstrates respiratory care skills to small groups of students in laboratory setting. Prepares lab for instruction orients students to lab remediates & validates student skills maintains equipment and inventory monitors lab utilization and performs other related duties as required.

Essential Functions

  1. Coordinates activities to support the implementation of specified instructional labs.
  2. Assists in the development of lab exercises and optional student practice sessions.
  3. Prepares lab for instruction and tidies lab upon completion of instruction.
  4. Demonstrates respiratory care clinical skills utilizing Seminole States accepted skills procedures in a small group setting.
  5. Assists with simulation learning activities in the skills lab.
  6. Remediates and validates skills as needed.
  7. Maintains documentation of student competence in clinical skills.
  8. Complies with all regulatory requirements for completion of certification by designated state agencies following established safe lab practices.
  9. Responsible for ensuring student and instructor safety by complying with assigned instructions and regulations as defined by state certifying agencies.
  10. Maintains inventory and appropriate storage of supplies and equipment reorders supplies when necessary.
  11. Performs other site and position specific responsibilities as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  1. Associates Degree in Respiratory Care from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. RRT or CRT license.

Desired Qualifications

  1. Bachelors degree in Respiratory or Cardiopulmonary Care from a regionally accredited institution.
  2. Previous teaching experience desired.

  2. English reading, writing, and speaking skills at the native level of fluency.

  5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  6. Ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and supervisors.

Environmental Conditions and Special Considerations

  1. Works in a laboratory environment.
  2. May be required to work evenings and weekends.

Pay Benefits and Work Schedule

Pay: $31.07 hourly Up to 26 hours per week. This is a Part-time Pool Position. While a posting may exist on our website, there may or may not be a need at this time.
