Discover a rewarding career at Arcare. The Clinical Director of Infusion Services is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of infusion therapy services within the healthcare organization. This includes ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care, optimizing operational efficiency, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, driving quality improvement initiatives, and contributing to financial sustainability. The Director serves as a key member of the leadership team, collaborating with interdisciplinary stakeholders to advance clinical excellence and innovation in infusion therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Strategic Planning
Promotes customer-driven excellence as a driver of organizational services.
Leads the infusion services department, aligning goals with the organization's mission and objectives.
Develop and implement strategies to expand services, improve access, and achieve clinical excellence.
Fosters a collaborative culture emphasizing accountability, professional development, and teamwork.
Clinical Operations
Oversees daily operations of infusion therapy, including IV medications and biologics.
Ensures compliance with clinical protocols and evidence-based standards of care.
Monitors patient outcomes, safety measures, and satisfaction metrics, initiating improvements as needed.
Performs other necessary duties as required by the Chief Nursing Officer to meet the goal of providing infusion therapy services.
Regulatory and Compliance Management
Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for audits and inspections.
Lead efforts to implement best practices in infection control and medication safety.
Financial and Resource Management
Collaborates with the finance department to develop and manage the departmental budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals and sustainability.
Contributes to financial planning by analyzing departmental needs, resource allocation, and revenue opportunities.
Partners with finance teams to monitor financial performance, identify trends, and implement cost-containment strategies.
Supports the evaluation and adoption of innovative reimbursement models, including value-based care initiatives, to enhance fiscal efficiency and operational effectiveness.
Staff Development and Engagement
Recruit, onboard, and mentor infusion staff nurses and other staff as assigned fostering a high-performing team.
Facilitate ongoing education and training to maintain competencies in quality improvement activities and infusion therapy.
Guides and directs the activities of the staff and other appropriate members of the clinical team; is the manager/leader of the staff in assigned clinics and is responsible for performance evaluations/annual competencies, provides disciplinary action as needed, and supervision of direct care services provided by infusion nursing staff.
Promote a supportive work environment to enhance staff retention and job satisfaction.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration
Work closely with physicians, pharmacists, nursing staff, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless care coordination.
Contribute to providing patient-centered care that incorporates culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
Participate in committees and task forces to influence policy, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Professional Development and Education
Actively participates in industry conferences, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on advancements in infusion therapy, healthcare regulations, and leadership practices.
Integrates knowledge gained from professional events into the department's policies, practices, and quality improvement initiatives.
Serves as an educational resource, sharing insights and best practices with the infusion team and organizational leaders.
Maintain CPR and CRNI certification (if applicable)
