Job Summary: The Upstate Medical Hospital System is the largest employer of dietitians in the Syracuse area. Join our progressive, evidence-based nutrition care team at Upstate Community Hospital, where you can practice nutrition in one of the nation's leading medical and teaching hospital systems. We are currently seeking to fill an Inpatient/Clinical Dietitian position, with additional opportunities for growth across our hospital complex in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These roles offer the opportunity to accelerate your acute care nutrition skills while providing medical nutrition therapy to a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatrics to older adults.

Key Responsibilities: • Provide nutrition assessments, interventions, and education • Manage nutrition support therapies (enteral/parenteral) • Collaborate on patient care rounds and QAPI initiatives

Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelors or Masters degree required • Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration required • NYS Certified Dietitian-Nutritionist license (or eligible) required • Three or more years of post RD certification experience in clinical dietetics • Specialty certification or advanced specialized membership required within 3 years of hire

Preferred Qualifications: • Masters degree with preferred area of Nutrition or related field • Two (2) years or more of experience with Inpatient Critical Care • Board certification as a Nutrition Support Clinician or other certifications in Pediatrics or Adult Nutrition

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, days with weekends and holidays

Message to Applicants: The full time equivalent salary for this role is $65,000+ depending on qualifications. This part time, 50% position is located at the Community campus location.
