Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Clinical Dietician II, under general supervision, as a registered dietitian, conducts competent patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care for mostly moderately complex patients according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies and equipment. Guides and supports clinical nutrition personnel assisting in patient care. Provides instructions to assigned dietetic interns during clinical rotations.
Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience: 1+ year full-time experience as a Registered Dietitian in a pediatric clinical setting required.
Education/Licensure/Certification:
Required:
• Master’s Degree in nutrition-related field; or Bachelor’s Degree in nutrition-related field plus additional 2 years full time experience as a Registered Dietitian
• Completion of AND/CDR accredited dietetic internship
• Current CDR registration as a Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist (RDN)
• Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider CPR certification
Preferred:
• Board certifications: CSP, CSR, CSSD, CSPCC, CSO, RD-AP, CDCES, CNSC, IBCLC
