Location: UHealth Tower The Clinical Dietitian 1 - Specialty (H) provides nutrition care with greater than 70% of time spent in specialty service as warranted by the facility.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Assesses the nutritional needs of patients and develops and implements nutritional care plans. • Documents the nutritional status and needs of hospitalized patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines. • Communicates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate medical and nutritional needs of patients. • Initiates and follows patients for nutrient intake analysis and makes recommendations for continuance, progression, or initiation of alternate therapies. • Writes orders for diet, supplement, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and laboratory data per hospital policy. • Provides counseling and education to patients and their families regarding various topics in medical nutrition therapy and drug-nutrient interaction. • Ensures regulatory compliance including federal, state, and accrediting agencies. • Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field • Registered Dietitian (RDN/LDN) • FL state license • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
