Position Details:

  • Location: Valrico, FL
  • Status: Full Time (non-exempt)
  • Shift: 8:00AM - 5:00PM (May Vary) Monday through Friday

The Medical Assistant Clinical Coordinator is responsible for:

  • Oversees daily clinical operations.
  • Assists the site manager and physicians with the successful operation of the clinical staff, procedures, and treatment.
  • Supports the physician's office health care team, answers phones, screens patient's chart prior to appointment, interviews patients, and prepares them for examinations and other procedures.
  • Assists the physician during the exam, administers injections, performs any necessary lab work or testing, follows up on test orders, and reports results to the physician and patient.
  • Provides patient education, maintains medical equipment, and takes inventory.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Certification and Licensure:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and
  • Approved Medical Assistant Certification required within 6 months of hire date or proof of active license/certification

If you are not a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant and you are hired for this position, you acknowledge the requirement to obtain your Medical Assistant Certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA from AMT, NRMA or NRCMA), test within 90 days of employment and pass within 6 months of employment. Failure to obtain certification will result in termination of employment.

Education:

  • Required High School or Equivalent
  • Preferred Technical Medical Assistant

Experience:

  • Required 3 years Medical Assistant
