Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Assistant to support our orthopaedic team in delivering high-quality patient care. The Clinical Assistant will play a key role in assisting physicians during examinations, preparing patients for procedures, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a smooth clinical workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare exam rooms and ensure cleanliness and readiness for patient visits

Greet and prepare patients for examination, including taking vital signs and medical history

Assist physicians with orthopaedic procedures such as casting, splinting, and wound care

Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) system

Manage and maintain inventory of clinical supplies and orthopaedic equipment

Schedule appointments, coordinate imaging studies, and process referrals

Educate patients on post-visit care, use of orthopaedic devices, and rehabilitation instructions

Communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers to support care coordination

Comply with infection control and safety protocols at all times

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified medical assistant program preferred

Previous clinical experience in orthopaedics or related field highly desirable

Knowledge of musculoskeletal anatomy, medical terminology, and orthopaedic procedures

Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

CPR/BLS certification preferred

Working Conditions:
Clinical setting within an orthopaedic medical office

May require standing for extended periods and lifting or assisting with patient mobility

Exposure to bodily fluids and medical instruments as part of clinical duties
