Job Description
The Clinical AssistantAssociate Professor Family Nurse Practitioner FNP and Graduate Placement Coordinator is a member of the faculty and is appointed to standing faculty committees. The FNP and Graduate Placement Coordinator is responsible for providing overall leadership and oversight for the FNP track, providing leadership in the graduate program in collaboration with the Director of Graduate Nursing Programs, and overseeing graduate nursing student clinicalpracticum placement.
This individual has work assignment with dedicated time to provide administrative resource curriculum and evaluation oversight for the track and graduate placements. Additionally, this individual is actively involved in leadership, teaching, guidance, and advising of students. Scholarly work and professional service are also essential aspects of an assistantassociate professors work.

Direct development and implementation of the FNP curriculum in coordination with the Director utilizing nursing and professional standards.
Assist the Director in evaluating the FNP track and preparing accreditation reports.
Participate in FNP student recruitment activities and planning.
Collaborate with the Director to develop orientation and on-campus experiences to ensure students are meeting competencies required by professional standards.
Partner with students individually to map out clinical experiences and identify potential clinical sites.
Meet with students at the beginning of the program and at least once every semester or more as needed.
Develop relationships with external partners to secure contracts for student clinicalpracticum experiences.
Maintain a database of clinical sites, preceptors, and students.
Ensure program and clinical requirements are met.
Evaluate clinical sites before and after student experiences.
Collaborate with other coordinators regarding clinicalpracticum needs, expectations, and strategies for clinicalpracticum placement.
Work with professional academic advisors to assist students with academic scheduling throughout the length of study.
Provide academic instruction and advisement in a thorough and professional manner.
Serve on college and university committees as assigned and on a volunteer basis.
Participate in activities that provide professional service to the community and leadership of professional organizations.
Maintain involvement in professional associations by attending and participating in professional meetings and conferences.
Engage in scholarly activities.
Effectively work with the daily mental and physical stresses of the job, which includes but is not limited to meeting deadlines, attending meetings, completing compliance requirements, meeting and working with staff, faculty, students, and the public.
Required Qualifications
A doctoral degree is required.
Current valid licensure as a Registered Nurse in Ohio and national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Completion of an approved registered nursing education program in a jurisdiction as defined in paragraph S of rule 4723-5-01 of the Ohio Administrative Code.
Official transcripts verifying academic preparation.
Two years of educational experience at the level of assistantassociate professor and/or clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Preferred Qualifications
Commitment to roles of FNP and Graduate Placement Coordinator and assistantassociate professor.
Previous academic experience in a university setting.
Online teaching experience.
Physical Demands
Faculty must be available to participate in events important to the ongoing success of the University and College. Requires the ability to work indoors in a moderately stressful environment and the ability to adapt to changes in workload. Physical requirements may include frequent sitting, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and twisting.
